Paris (AP) - The EU and Japan are already warning of "considerable turbulence on the world market" if the US imposes import tariffs on cars. This is clear from a joint statement following a meeting of EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström with Japanese Trade Minister Hiroshige Seko in Paris. Last week it became known that the US government is investigating the imposition of import duties on cars. US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced that EU imports of steel and aluminum from the EU will be punitive.
