EU and Japan fear possible US tariffs on cars



Paris (AP) - The EU and Japan are already warning of "considerable turbulence on the world market" if the US imposes import tariffs on cars. This is clear from a joint statement following a meeting of EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström with Japanese Trade Minister Hiroshige Seko in Paris. Last week it became known that the US government is investigating the imposition of import duties on cars. US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced that EU imports of steel and aluminum from the EU will be punitive.

Press Barred From Reception at Samantha Bee Event Following Controversy

Attending media was told by a Television Academy rep that press would not be allowed into the reception "as a result of today’s events involving Samantha B." The same day Samantha Bee apologized for calling Ivanka Trump a “feckless c—,” she was set to be honored by the Television Academy along with six other shows relating to social change.
