Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to launch its flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 8 along with MIUI 10 and Mi Band 3 at an event in China on May 31. Now it seems that the company will launch the same smartphone in eight countries including India.
The company has posted an image from its official Xiaomi and MIUI accounts. The image consists of various landmarks which also include Taj Mahal from India inside the number 8. This hints that the company might soon bring the device in the country. Along with India, the company will be launching the smartphone in Egypt, Italy, Spain, France and Russia.
Recently, images of the retail box of the smartphone also surfaced online suggesting that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. As per a different leak, it was revealed that the company might launch Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE (Special Edition). The leak also suggests that both the phones will sport the same iPhone X like notch display. The Mi 8 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and the Mi 8 SE will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset.
The retail box also revealed that with the Mi 8, the company will ditch the 3.5mm audio jack and will also include dual-GPS module. Rumours also suggest that the device might also sport 3D face recognition along with iPhone-X like Animoji.
Apart from the smartphones, the company has also confirmed that it will also launch the Mi band 3 and the next version of its UI layer -- MIUI 9. It is expected that this time, the Mi Band 3 will come with an all touchscreen display and there will be no physical button.
