Lenovo to launch Moto phones with ‘Motorola’ branding now

Lenovo has planned a minor change in its branding strategy on Motorola smartphones this year. Upcoming smartphones launched by Lenovo-owned Motorola will no more feature “Moto” branding on the front of the smartphone. Instead, the company will brand them as “Motorola”.

This means all smartphones that will launched by the company from now will have “Motorola” written in the front instead of “Moto”. However, at the back, the company will continue with its “M” encircled logo.

Explaining the reason for this shift, Lenovo India product manager Abhishek Kumar said, “It is just that ‘Motorola’ has a better brand recall than ‘Moto’ in the market given the legacy of the brand.” When asked as to why Lenovo needs to place the ‘Motorola’ branding altogether in the front of a smartphone, Kumar said,

“Our consumer surveys have revealed that buyers want the branding to remain on both the front and the back of Motorola smartphones for brand identity.”

Lenovo will be launching the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play smartphones in India on June 4.

The smartphones were already launched in Brazil earlier and it features ‘Motorola’ branding instead of ‘Moto’ in the front. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Moto G6 unit that was launched in Brazil sports a 5.7-inch full HD+ display and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

There is a dual-lens rear camera setup with a 12MP primary and 5MP secondary sensor along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Both smartphones will features a 18:9 aspect ratio display.

Ahead of the launch of Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in India, the company has announced that the Moto G6 Play will be available from Flipkart while Moto G6 can be purchased from Amazon India. Both smartphones will also be available from Moto Hub stores across the country as well.

The Foods You Need to Avoid to Keep Your Skin Clear

It's not necessarily greasy foods that are the culprits. It was an old wives’ tale worthy of medical research. Researchers managed to prove way back in 1969 that your chocolate noshing wasn’t causing you to break out, and that was a relief. In fact, science has since proven that certain foods can get rid of your acne. But that’s not to say that said old wives weren’t on to  something  because what you eat really does make a detrimental difference when it comes to your complexion,  according to Men’s Health. A study  published in the  Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics ventured to figure out exactly what the problematic pimple-causing foods were. The research involved two groups of 32 participants; one group had clear skin, the other had moderate-to-severe acne. Each group was asked to complete a five-day food diary and then get blood work done. Of all the participants, 61 percent believed that their diets were affect...
