WWDC 2018: Apple’s upcoming Digital Health initiative to bring phone-life balance for users

Looks like Apple is following on Google’s path that eventually will lead users to get a better phone-life balance. The Cupertino-based firm, at its upcoming WWDC 2018, is said to launch a new feature that aims to make this rumour a reality. According to Bloomberg, Apple engineers are working behind the curtain on Digital Health, an initiative which as expected may make users less addicted to gadgets and use them for less number of hours.

This feature is said to come as a part of the next-gen iOS version, which is likely to be called iOS 12. It could be found inside the Settings app, bundled in the Menu.

It is worth adding that Tony Fadell, a former senior executive at Apple who has also worked on the original iPhone and iPod resonated the same idea in an interview to Bloomberg. “We need to have tools and data to allow us to understand how we consume digital media,” he said. “We need to get finer-grain language and start to understand that an iPhone is just a refrigerator, it’s not the addiction.”

Besides this, the overall idea of WWDC 2018 would stay the same – give developers a glimpse of what new software and software-side features are to come and an idea of how it will mould the future hardware products around it.

According to a recent report by Gene Muster, Apple is likely to improve its Siri voice assistant and AI capabilities with iOS 12.

The firm could also bring a cheaper speaker making use of Beats. In terms of AI, Apple could enhance its ‘Core ML’ developer toolset to improve machine learning in handsets. Some improvements in AR is also expected. “We expect Apple to announce subtle new developer tools to improve the AR development process and ultimately yield more compelling AR applications,” said the analyst firm.

On the heels of releasing her own 13-piece capsule collection with Marled by Reunited Clothing, available exclusively at Revolve, former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo hit MNKY HSE club in London Tuesday night in a look reminiscent of a yellow taxi cab. Making us forget all about Uber, Culpo took to Instagram to show off a sultry canary yellow minidress featuring a single white stripe across the front with black buttons. The dress displayed just a hint of tanned thigh, which gave way to bold, black over-the-knee boots from Balenciaga. The statement-making spandex boot style featured a pointed-toe silhouette and sharp 4-inch heels, which pulled her outfit together seamlessly, adding just the extra oomph it needed to turn heads. She capped off the look with a small, black studded Versace bag. This is the first time during Season 4 for the challenges to drop on Thursday morning rather than Tuesday morning. The Greasy Grove treasure map comes on the heels of yesterday's v4.3 update. If you want to find the treasure this week, you can either head to Greasy Grove and search for the map, or you can read this guide which will lead you right to it.
