WWDC 2018: Apple’s upcoming Digital Health initiative to bring phone-life balance for users

Looks like Apple is following on Google’s path that eventually will lead users to get a better phone-life balance. The Cupertino-based firm, at its upcoming WWDC 2018, is said to launch a new feature that aims to make this rumour a reality. According to Bloomberg, Apple engineers are working behind the curtain on Digital Health, an initiative which as expected may make users less addicted to gadgets and use them for less number of hours.

This feature is said to come as a part of the next-gen iOS version, which is likely to be called iOS 12. It could be found inside the Settings app, bundled in the Menu.

It is worth adding that Tony Fadell, a former senior executive at Apple who has also worked on the original iPhone and iPod resonated the same idea in an interview to Bloomberg. “We need to have tools and data to allow us to understand how we consume digital media,” he said. “We need to get finer-grain language and start to understand that an iPhone is just a refrigerator, it’s not the addiction.”

Besides this, the overall idea of WWDC 2018 would stay the same – give developers a glimpse of what new software and software-side features are to come and an idea of how it will mould the future hardware products around it.

According to a recent report by Gene Muster, Apple is likely to improve its Siri voice assistant and AI capabilities with iOS 12.

The firm could also bring a cheaper speaker making use of Beats. In terms of AI, Apple could enhance its ‘Core ML’ developer toolset to improve machine learning in handsets. Some improvements in AR is also expected. “We expect Apple to announce subtle new developer tools to improve the AR development process and ultimately yield more compelling AR applications,” said the analyst firm.

The Foods You Need to Avoid to Keep Your Skin Clear

It's not necessarily greasy foods that are the culprits. It was an old wives’ tale worthy of medical research. Researchers managed to prove way back in 1969 that your chocolate noshing wasn’t causing you to break out, and that was a relief. In fact, science has since proven that certain foods can get rid of your acne. But that’s not to say that said old wives weren’t on to  something  because what you eat really does make a detrimental difference when it comes to your complexion,  according to Men’s Health. A study  published in the  Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics ventured to figure out exactly what the problematic pimple-causing foods were. The research involved two groups of 32 participants; one group had clear skin, the other had moderate-to-severe acne. Each group was asked to complete a five-day food diary and then get blood work done. Of all the participants, 61 percent believed that their diets were affect...
