UCLA Softball: Bruins Face Florida Gators Tonight in Women’s College World Series

The Bruins advanced to tonight’s game against Florida by riding the bat of Kylee Perez who hit a dramatic 3-run home run last night against Florida State for her 300th career hit.

It took the Bruins until the bottom of the sixth inning to really get their bats going last night. Hopefully, they don’t wait quite as long tonight as Florida.
UCLA should enter tonight’s game with a little bit of a chip on their shoulder because Florida was given the #2 national seed instead of the Bruins. So, tonight, the Bruins should be looking to prove the selection committee got the seedings wrong.
The Gators got to the Women’s College World Series by defeating 15th-seeded Texas A&M last weekend. The Gators took game one of that series 5-4, but the Aggies bounced back and took game two by the same score. That forced a game three on Saturday and the Gators won that one 5-3 to advance.
Yesterday, Florida beat SEC rival Georgia 11-3 in a 5-inning mercy rule shortened game to advance to tonight’s game against the Bruins.
The Gators offense is led by junior outfielder Amanda Lorenz. Lorenz, who went to Moorpark HS in Ventura County, is one of Florida’s top offensive weapons. She has a .428 batting average and leads the team with 74 hits and 61 RBIs. Meanwhile, the Gators’ top home run hitter is senior infielder Nicole DeWitt, who grew up in Garden Grove in Orange County.
Yesterday, the Gators’ coach Tim Walton sent Aleshia Ocasia to the circle against Georgia. While that could certainly happen again tonight, I’m expecting him to start their ace Kelly Barnhill against UCLA since I think Walton was resting Barnhill in anticipation of a matchup against the Bruins in tonight’s game.
Barnhill is 29-1 with a 1.06 ERA and opponents are batting just .117 against her. She has struck out 310 in 20513 innings.
If Barnhill has a chink in her armor, it has to be the long ball. She has given up 18 home runs on the season and had four multi-home run games and we all know how much these Bruins dig the long ball. So, I guess the big question is: Which Bruins will homer tonight?

This is your Women’s College World Series game thread.

Go Bruins!!! Bring home 117!!!

Fortnite's Greasy Grove Treasure Map: Where To Find The Treasure

There's a new treasure map available in  Fortnite: Battle Royale.  This time you'll find the map tucked away in Greasy Grove as one of Season 4, Week 5's challenges. This is the first time during Season 4 for the challenges to drop on Thursday morning rather than Tuesday morning. The Greasy Grove treasure map comes on the heels of yesterday's v4.3 update. If you want to find the treasure this week, you can either head to Greasy Grove and search for the map, or you can read this guide which will lead you right to it. If you look closely you'll see this image almost resembles a face. Turn it so that the compass is facing north and you'll see it's the Evil Lair near Snobby Shores. The nefarious base, which was added as part of Season 4's mysterious villains vs superheroes theme, is just to the north-east of Snobby Shores, and the treasure itself can be found right on the outside 'nose.' Grab the treasure and you'll add 10...

7 Silent Signs Stress is Hurting Your Relationship

Between the demands of parenting, financial woes, and the everyday drudgery of maintaining a household, stress is unavoidable in a long-term relationship. But it doesn't have to ruin it. You feel like you don't have any time to yourself Sometimes, it's too easy to get so caught up in your daily routine that you forget to make room for some me-time. If you find that you become overwhelmed too easily and don't have time to do the things you want, that's a clear sign you're stressed. "Don't let the weight of everyday issues overshadow the connection with your partner," says Aniesa Schneberger, MA, a licensed mental health counselor who is also the founder of Tampa Life Change. She suggests scheduling breaks throughout the week that are reserved just for you. The Foods You Need to Avoid to Keep Your Skin Clear

It's not necessarily greasy foods that are the culprits. It was an old wives’ tale worthy of medical research. Researchers managed to prove way back in 1969 that your chocolate noshing wasn’t causing you to break out, and that was a relief. In fact, science has since proven that certain foods can get rid of your acne. But that’s not to say that said old wives weren’t on to  something  because what you eat really does make a detrimental difference when it comes to your complexion,  according to Men’s Health. A study  published in the  Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics ventured to figure out exactly what the problematic pimple-causing foods were. The research involved two groups of 32 participants; one group had clear skin, the other had moderate-to-severe acne. Each group was asked to complete a five-day food diary and then get blood work done. Of all the participants, 61 percent believed that their diets were affect...
