Uber driver 'shoots passenger DEAD' on motorway in Denver as police probe what led to gunfire

Witnesses reported seeing police officers performing CPR on the passenger who was shot before they were rushed to hospital in Colorado, US

An Uber driver has fatally shot a passenger on a motorway in the US in an incident that also involved a crash, according to reports.
Journalists reported seeing police officers performing CPR on the passenger before they were rushed to hospital.
Police in Denver, Colorado said a man was dead following the incident.
The Uber driver was in police custody, it was said.
It was unclear what led to the shooting on Interstate 25, near University Boulevard, around 3am local time on Friday.
Denver Police tweeted: "One adult male has been pronounced deceased. SB I25 will remain closed for the investigation."
TV news station Denver 7 said it was told by police that an Uber driver had shot a passenger multiple times.
The driver called 911 to report the shooting, Denver 7 added.
The driver was in police custody, it was reported.
On Twitter, police wrote that they could not confirm that the incident involved an Uber driver and passenger "due to the ongoing investigation".
Aerial footage showed a car that had crashed into a wall at the side of the motorway.
Journalists reported seeing officers performing CPR on the passenger before the person was loaded into an ambulance.
The incident also involved a crash, local media reported.
Mirror Online has contacted Uber for comment.
In February, an Uber Eats driver allegedly shot and killed a customer outside a home north of Atlanta, Georgia.
Robert Bivines, 36, claims he acted in self-defence when he fatally shot Ryan Thornton, 30, during a row after delivering food to the customer.
Bivines has been indicted on felony and malice murder charges.
